What is this

A hobby shell server run by MakerFX Makerspace, in the tradition of tilde.club. Members get a login, a home directory, and a public page at /~name/. There is no framework and no deploy step: you edit ~/public_html/index.html over SSH and it is live.

There is also a local IRC server, finger for reading each other's .plan files, shared drop folders, and an unreasonable number of terminal toys.

Getting an account

Members of MakerFX Makerspace can apply from any machine with an SSH key: ssh -p 2222 join@kerf.ides.club. An admin reads every application by hand, so it takes a day or two.
